Technical expertise in one or more areas including: Gas turbine combustors and low-emissions or alternative-fuel combustion, High-pressure reacting-flow physics, turbulent and multiphase combustion, flame dynamics, or chemical kinetics, Combustion stability and thermoacoustics, High-fidelity modeling and simulation of turbulent and multiphase reacting flows, Advanced experimental diagnostics and characterization of sprays, mixing, and combustion, High-speed airbreathing propulsion, including ramjets, scramjets, and rotating detonation engines, Gas turbine and non-airbreathing propulsion system design and analysis, Thermodynamic cycle optimization and conceptual propulsion system design. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in gas turbine combustors, advanced propulsion, reacting-flow physics, alternative fuels, modeling and simulation, experimental diagnostics, or related areas, along with experience working with U.S. Government agencies, including the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community.
