The Area Chief of Staff partners with the Practice Manager (if applicable) to drive the culture and delivery of quality care by the veterinary provider team (DVM, CVT, VA) in their assigned hospitals to ensure that every pet receives consistent care aligning with our six domains of quality (safe, effective, patient/client centered, timely, efficient and equitable care. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures. The physical demands of the job require in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. This role works upstream of formal product development and focuses on evaluating emerging technologies, building prototypes, and reducing technical risk before products move into full-scale engineering programs. You will collaborate closely with electrical engineering, firmware, product management, and industrial design teams to integrate mechanical solutions with emerging technologies and system architectures. This position is an integral member of the Teammate (Employee) Relations team within our Legal Department for assigned segments of the business, acting as an advisor for teammates, managers, People Services Managers (PSMs) and others.
