On a broad level, the Senior Counsel, Supply Management role will focus on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and analyzing the entire spectrum of complex commercial agreements; partnering with and advising internal stakeholders on contract terms, risk, negotiations and commercial strategy; supporting both direct and indirect procurement matters; managing commercial disputes and litigation; advising on select trade, customs, import/export and logistics compliance matters in coordination with relevant internal compliance functions; and providing practical, solutions-oriented legal advice that supports Harley-Davidson’s business objectives while appropriately managing risk. Providing advice and support on select trade, customs, import/export and logistics compliance matters, including contractual allocation of compliance responsibilities, shipping and transportation terms, customs documentation and valuation issues, recordkeeping, and escalation of potential compliance concerns, in coordination with relevant internal compliance and subject-matter experts.
