Coordinate plant input for Manufacturing Engineering Requirements to Design Engineering + Develop Manufacturing and Operations functional requirements documents and validation plans for software and hardware testing and programming + Develop, assess, and implement processes to test and validate new truck systems technologies prior to production implementation + Assist in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and lead efforts in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), where appropriate + Review and develop new technologies for manufacturing, assembling, programming, and testing components and systems + Supervises the acquisition and implementation of project-related capital tooling assets + Document issues and escalate critical concerns + Review drawings for manufacturing using the Windchill environment + Design, validate, and implement logistics solutions for new products + Domestic and International Travel will be required Qualifications & Skills + B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Software Engineering or a related field + EIT certification preferred + Demonstrated ability gained through 5+ years of progressively complex engineering assignments required + Training in DFSS is required and training in Advanced Quality Systems is desirable + Experience developing automated test routines for electrical systems is desirable + Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills + Excellent organizational, PC, and project management skills + Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities Why work for PACCAR/Kenworth?
