Use expertise in conventional machining (turning, milling, drilling, grinding, broaching, shaping, sawing) and fabrication (sheet metal forming, bending and rolling, hydroforming, spinning, stamping, laser and waterjet cutting, welding, brazing, joining and structural assembly) to improve producibility at the conceptual design stage. It shapes producible designs early in the design cycle, develops manufacturing readiness and technology maturity, and moves hardware into robust production processes at internal GE shops and external suppliers that meet safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.
