Key Responsibilities: • Anchor afternoon and evening newscasts, including presenting, researching, writing, and editing stories relevant to mid-Missouri audiences • Produce original stories for television, digital, and social platforms • Mentor and supervise student producers, reporters, and production assistants assigned to the newscast • Develop, research, and report a recurring franchise that can be cross-promoted and shared across multiple newscasts • Maintain an active, authentic social media presence that engages audiences and follows industry best practices • Represent KOMU 8 News in the community through appearances, speaking engagements, and other outreach opportunities • Perform other newsroom duties as assigned.
