Position Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain weight, balance and mass properties accounting systems and generate required weight and balance reports • Support and develop mass properties processes and tools • Provide visibility of mass properties information to integrated product teams, management and customers • Provide complex vehicle or system configuration guidance • Define complex weight, balance and mass properties related design requirements • Review contract statement of work requirements, define task execution details, estimate task durations, and schedule and monitor team task execution • Gather internal and external customer requirements and develop innovative solutions for mass properties analysis • Guide and mentor less experienced engineers • Depending upon project needs, may lead a small team of engineers in the execution of contract statements of work. The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a broad range of experience levels to include Senior Weight and Mass Properties Engineers to join the Flight Systems Capability team in San Antonio, TX or Oklahoma City, OK, with the opportunity to provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military Aircraft (B-2, B-52), Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C (737), AWACS (707, 767), ETS&S(C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, VC-25B), Tankers (KC-135, KC-767)) and other diverse aircraft and projects.
