The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Mechanical engineering from conceptual design through construction administration, commissioning and post-occupancy + Be competent in all aspects of mechanical systems design for a variety of types of projects or markets to complete routing engineering assignments and calculations + Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings + Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the Mechanical discipline + Researches, develops, designs, specifies, and witnesses the testing of mechanical systems, equipment, components, and materials, applying principles and techniques of mechanical engineering + Organizes and conducts site visits for the purpose of data collection and evaluation of mechanical systems, equipment, components, and materials for projects with and without well-defined scopes + Develops designs within a BIM design environment + Develops, designs, and specifies equipment, components and materials for all building + Coordinating with multiple disciplines and acting as mechanical engineer point of contact to ensure that coordinated projects are delivered within budget on schedule and with high quality work. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar field +10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Professional Engineer (PE) registration **Preferred Qualifications:** + Twelve (12) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Plumbing and Fire Protection system design experience + Experience in designing complex hydronic systems, steam, VRF systems and sustainable designs.
