Performs basic infection control techniques according to Covenant HomeCare policy; examples are proper Bag Technique, hand washing, glove usage, appropriate handling and disposing of wastes or un-sterile compresses, and keeping dirty and clean items separate. Provides morning or evening care, which may include bed bath, oral hygiene, shampooing and combing hair, back care, nail care, skin care, dressing patient, changing the bed linen and cleaning the surrounding area, and other supportive care as needed.
