This is unskilled and limited semi-skilled manual work participating in one of the following: the construction, maintenance and repair of municipal surface facilities including, but not limited to, streets, sidewalks, and curbs; performing landscaping and maintenance of city-owned property and a variety of medians and rights of way including in or near waterways, ditches, and lakes; or maintenance and repair of power tools and small equipment and may include some facilities repair and maintenance tasks. Work could include any one of the following: the operation of light-duty automotive equipment including using power tools and specialized machines to maintain streets, sidewalks, curbs, and other related work; the maintenance of grounds and turf through mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning of plants, trees, and shrubs; or reading manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine repair needs for various equipment and skilled use of a variety of tools.
