Physical/Environmental Example Work involves the regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, working in confined spaces, and lifting or carrying with assistance moderately heavy (20-30 pounds) items and occasionally very heavy (35 pounds or over) items; or it may involve the complex operation of powered machinery or shop equipment requiring the manipulation of multiple controls, fine adjustments, or both. At Loyola, the ideals that have guided Jesuit universities for nearly 500 years-academic excellence, care for the whole person, service, justice, diversity, and integrity, among others-continue to mold the academic, social, and spiritual experiences we offer our roughly 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the programs we pursue, and the relationships we build with our surrounding communities.
