The City of Naperville's Water Utility is currently seeking a Water Utility Technician perform a variety of operational, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation work duties and provide customer service to water and wastewater utility customers (including testing water quality, responding to pressure calls, high bill investigations, water distribution valve exercising, hydrant statics, water meter installations, b-box repairs, turn-ons/turn-offs for nonpayment, leak detection and correlation, and shutdowns for repairs to the water system. Performs non-dig hydrant repairs, substantial repairs/partial replacements, and adjustments to b-boxes and valve boxes and auxiliary valves with and without mechanical assistance (including hand-digging up to a two-foot depth).
