Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients; · Review physician’s referral and patient’s medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program; · Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation; · Test, measure and record in patient’s electronic medical record the patient’s strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency; · Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed; · Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health; · Instruct patient in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home; · Discharge patient from therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals. · Manage staff schedule to ensure adequate coverage and clinic flow and approve timecards accordingly; · Supervise and lead direct reports by motivating, inspiring, and supporting staff to a higher level of engagement, productivity, and quality outcomes; · Conduct performance reviews, review work and perform corrective action as necessary; · Provide training and other educational and development opportunities for direct reports; · Interview and select candidates to fill vacant support positions; · Resolve escalated situations as needed including complaints and incident reports from patients, direct reports, and physicians; · Develop and maintain effective communication within the organization; · Collaborate with other supervisor level staff within the organization; · Be a champion and a positive change agent for the organization’s mission, vision, guiding principles and initiatives.
