Special procedures include: chest tube set-up/care, RSI drugs, trach care, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, CRRT/dialysis, CVP/PA lines, rapid infuser, sheath removal, PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, Port-A-Cath access/care, syringe pumps, triple lumen catheter, wound vac, drains, epidural pumps, feeding tubes, and fistula care. • Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, CVVHD/CRRT, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, emergency medications, ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
