Candidates must understand the Electrical subject matter relevant to FLNG LQF and PTF facilities, such as Power System Modeling, Power System Harmonics, working and interfacing with Utilities, High Voltage (HV) Substations, HV Transmission Lines, HV Cables, HV Gas Insulated Circuit Breakers, HV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Load Commutated Inverter (LCI) Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Synchronous Motors, Harmonic Filters, Power System Protection, Power Management and Control System (PMCS), Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) Distribution Switchgear, Power, Distribution and Lighting Transformers, Essential Generators, Lighting, and DC systems. The Principal Electrical Engineer may also travel to EPC company offices in the greater Houston area, and occasionally to vendor or supplier offices and manufacturing facilities both domestically and international as project needs and resource availability dictate.
