Qualifications · A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography · Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) · Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills · Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions Benefits HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer include but are not limited to: Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent mannerObtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedureMaintain statistical results for quality improvementCommunicate effectively with patient providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.
