Early childhood core courses include (1) childhood growth & development, (2) child/family/community, (3) introduction to curriculum, (4) principals and practices of teaching young children, (5) observation and assessments, (6) health safety and nutrition, (7) teaching in a diverse society, and (8) practicum. The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides infant, toddler and preschool programs.
