The requirements for a Multilingual Learners Teacher are: • Bachelor's degree (required) • Illinois teacher license with a Bilingual Education endorsement in Spanish and English as a Second Language endorsement (required) OR Transitional Bilingual Education • Fluency in Spanish, written and orally (required) • At least two years' prior success teaching in urban communities (strongly preferred) • Substantial prior experience working with English Learner students (strongly preferred) • A cleared CPS Background check before start of employment (required).
