Consults with school administrators, department leads, and school psychologists regarding parent requests for evaluation, evaluations under IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE), and Child Find screenings to build capacity within the school-based team so that they may meet state and federal requirements. The Child Find Specialist provides programmatic supervision and support to all Child Find initiatives throughout the schools that Vertex Education supports, including 45 day screenings, full and individual special education evaluations, Section 504 evaluations, and pre-referral intervention initiatives, including MTSS.
