Responsible for working in a team effort with the Teacher Assistant and other program staff to provide infants and toddlers with a safe and healthy learning environment, advancing their physical and intellectual growth, supporting social and emotional development, providing positive guidance and discipline, establishing positive relationships with families and encouraging their involvement in the education of their children, ensuring a well-run purposeful program responsive to participant’s needs and maintaining a commitment to professionalism. Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from a college or university accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), preferred, or age appropriate CDA/equivalent coarse work from an accredited college or university (minimum requirement- Reauthorization Act 2007).
