VNS Health Speech Language Pathologists design and deliver personalized 1:1 rehabilitative therapy programs for patients dealing with challenging disorders or are recovering from a surgery, illness, or accident and assess progress by being a part of their day-to-day life.

p> Follows the safety guidelines and directives for the student in regards to functional mobility and orientation (i.e. transfers, wheelchair or walker mobility, etc.) and exercises provided by other related service providers (i.e. occupational therapist, vision itinerant, hearing itinerant, speech and language pathologist, orientation and mobility instructor, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to the following areas: school function, range of motion, strength, positioning, contracture management, conducting home assessments, discharge planning, development of maintenance programs and other related client care issues.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

• Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow, or ASHA clinical fellowship (CF status).

Qualifications: Must possess a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
