MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA valid Lifeguard Training Certificate issued by the American Red Cross; A valid First Aid Certificate or its equivalent issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association; A valid certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association; A valid certificate in Automated External Defibrillator (AED) issued by the American Red Cross; Valid Water Safety Instructor Certificate issued by the American Red Cross; Minimum one year of related experience; Knowledge of:Rules, regulations, and ordinances related to the operation and use of college swimming pools and swimming pool equipment. Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and classified professionals.
