Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of current experience in acute CVOR setting License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for this role Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 2 surgical suites Number of Staff: Varies on volume, typically 2 RNs and 2 Techs on day shift; on-call for night shift Patient Ratios: 2:1 Type of Equipment: Open heart instrumentation and supplies; TEE equipment, Ultrasound Documentation System: Meditech Call Requirements: On-call is required; approximately every other day and every other weekend. Typical Procedures Performed: CABG, MVR, AVR, Pacemaker, laser lead extractions, some thoracic procedures, some endovascular procedures, standby for TVAR and mitral clips Prefer experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures Additional Preferences: May need to provide lunch relief in various service lines including vascular, robotics, general, ortho, neuro/ spine, urology, podiatry, thoracic surgery and plastic surgery.
