Additionally, other duties may be assigned at the discretion of leadership to meet business, customer, and/or patient needs: Has a working knowledge of pharmacy operations including pharmacy operating system, use of patient records, purchasing, inventory and formulary management, automation, packaging, USP 797, USP 795, USP 800, and pharmaceutical waste. All pharmacists are responsible for drug preparation and distribution for medications; evaluating, inputting and verification of medication orders; assisting providers and other health care professionals by serving as a drug information resource; monitoring and managing medication regimens per protocol or per consult; and managing pharmacy inventory.
