Duties and Responsibilities: • The Stationary Engineer Apprentice will assist with:• â Monitoring and operating building mechanical systems and equipment.• â Assisting with the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air-handling units, pumps, compressors, and generators.• â Performing routine inspections and documenting equipment conditions.• â Assisting with preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance activities.• â Responding to building maintenance requests and assisting with troubleshooting equipment issues.• â Checking gauges, meters, controls, and other equipment indicators and reporting abnormal readings or conditions.• â Assisting with maintaining proper building temperatures and environmental conditions.• â Performing basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks under supervision.• â Maintaining maintenance logs, inspection records, and work orders as required.• â Keeping mechanical rooms, equipment areas, and workspaces clean and organized.• â Following all applicable safety procedures and using tools and equipment appropriately.• â Immediately reporting equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or other concerns to the supervisor.• â Assisting experienced engineers with repairs, adjustments, and other assigned engineering tasks.• â Performing other related duties as assigned. Training Opportunity: • The apprentice will receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced engineering personnel to develop knowledge and skills related to building systems, preventative maintenance, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and general facilities operations.•
