While reporting to the Category Manager, you will be responsible for daily managements of steel procurement activities through regular communication with steel suppliers, Supply Chain group, and Procurement colleagues. What You'll Be Doing: Coordinate with Steel Procurement management and Supply Chain group to execute monthly steel purchasing plan. Populate and submit steel purchase orders. Maintain steel cost database. Assist in resolving discrepancies between internal and supplier accounting groups. Coordinate metal delivery into manufacturing plants. Track supplier delivery delays, quantify supplier delivery performance, and update Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system on a regular basis. Coordinate expediting of orders as needed based on supplier performance and/or changing demand. Work with manufacturing plants to promote FIFO inventory management and minimize inventory levels. Identify and assist in repurposing slow moving, aged, and/or surplus inventories. This is a hybrid position located in Broomfield, CO. Compensation: The annual base salary range for this role is from $80,320 to $90,360. Applications will be accepted until March 24, 2025. Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial racking systems, is seeking a Plant Manager for their manufacturing facility in Lamar, SC. This individual will oversee all plant operations including fabrication, welding, production, scheduling, quality, safety, and facility operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has experience leading structural steel or heavy fabrication operations. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead all day-to-day plant operations including fabrication, MIG welding, production, scheduling, quality, maintenance, and shipping </li><li>Drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility </li><li>Manage workforce planning, backlog scheduling, and production output metrics </li><li>Lead and develop production teams while maintaining a positive and accountable culture </li><li>Oversee CNC and welding equipment operations, machine layout, and facility organization </li><li>Monitor KPIs, budgets, forecasting, and operational performance </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of PPE </li><li>Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency </li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>10+ years of managerial or supervisory experience within a structural steel, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment </li><li>Experience overseeing fabrication, welding, and production operations </li><li>Knowledge of MIG welding, CNC equipment, and blueprint reading </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills </li><li>Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, MES systems, and ERP systems such as Epicor </li><li>Ability to manage budgets, production schedules, and operational planning </li><li>OSHA or accredited safety training preferred</li></ul>
