BLS, ACLS preferred, CCRN a plus -Common diagnoses/Types of patients "Patient Population – post open heart surgical patients-CABG, Valves, CABG/Valve, Dissections, AAA, Vascular procedures, Carotids, post cardiovascular procedures, STEMI, Unstable angina, Unstable N-STEMI, Cardiogenic Shock, Cardiomyopathy, Targeted Temperature Management (Hypothermia), Transcutaneous pacing, Transvenous pacing, Severe heart failure, TAVRs, cardiac related events requiring ICU care, ventilated patients, overflow patients from other ICUs including COVID patients Soon to come – Post VAD placement, Post heart transplant patient -Specialty Intervention Equipment – IABPs, Impellas, Swan Ganz, ECMO, External Pacemakers, CRRT Lines – PICC, Midlines, CVC, Swans, Arterial Lines (radial and femoral). -# Beds: 20 beds, all private, all monitored with Nurse -Patient Ratios Ratios - 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 depending on patient acuity -Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)
