Key Responsibilities: • Accounting and budget management • Supporting financial reporting/financial statement preparation, tie-points and abnormal balances analysis, root cause analysis, fluctuation/trend analysis, and USSGL posting logic research • Audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings • Performing and reviewing statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis • Identifying and implementing process improvements over financial reporting tools and templates in coordination with team lead and using technology to improve financial reporting. What Would Be Nice To Have: • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance; or higher-level clearance • Master's degree • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) • Knowledge of and experience with federal financial management activities, including but not limited to federal accounting, financial statement audits, audit readiness, audit remediation, internal control assessment, financial risk management, and other relevant federal information assurance laws, regulations, and guidance • Knowledge of federal laws, regulations, and requirements.
