Apprentices assist in many aspects of patient care and clinical operation of the clinic and are trained in various tasks including patient communication and scheduling, taking vitals, drawing blood, preparing blood and urine samples for lab work, assisting in procedures, performing EKGs, and attending to harm reduction (syringe exchange) clients.
