TeacherPOSITION TITLE: Business Education Teacher .33 FTEGENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:Reports to: Building PrincipalFLSA Status: ExemptTerm of Employment: Contractual YearBASIC FUNCTIONS:This position requires a certified teacher for the purpose of teaching skills needed for success in the world of work and business management, marketing, financial services, and entrepreneurship to students at the intermediate and/or high school level.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Possess all requirements for teaching business education</li><li>Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and develops workplace attitudes</li><li>Has working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, and current researched best practices and strategies, and students' learning styles and needs</li><li>Update the curriculum to meet changing IN state standards and College & Career Pathways for Business Management, Marketing, Financial Services, and Entrepreneurship</li><li>Establishes developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for students and communicates those to students and their families</li><li>Provide appropriate instruction for students to earn dual credits with post-secondary institutions when appropriate</li><li>Creates lessons and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and interesting, as well as multicultural, gender-fair, disability sensitive.
