Preferred qualifications include experience with the SEVIS federal database, strong communication skills (listening, speaking, writing), problem-solving abilities to work with diverse faculty/staff clientele and diverse international student population of a predominantly non-native English-speaking population, fluency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with a strong working knowledge of Excel, and familiarity with Banner, Ellucian Software, and SEVIS databases. Knowledge/skills/abilities include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management software, strong word processing skills, ability to coordinate and prioritize competing tasks, ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with the general public and to work as a team member, and ability to deal effectively with the public in handling inquiries and the ability to communicate effectively with a culturally diverse clientele.
