Assist in the educational and social-emotional development of students under the guidance of the classroom teacher/case manager. Provide support and assistance for students inside and outside the classroom to facilitate learning and participation.

Educational Assistant - Special Education Qualifications:<ol><li>18 years of age</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Meets "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional standards.</li><li>Satisfactory background check.</li><li>Pass drug screening.</li></ol>Duties may include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Assist in the educational and social-emotional development of students under the guidance of the classroom teacher/case manager.</li><li>Carry out instructional plans as prepared by the supervising teacher.</li><li>Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for students.</li><li>Provide support and assistance for students inside and outside the classroom to facilitate learning and participation. </li><li>Assist classroom teacher with data collection.</li><li>Support students with behavioral and/or emotional needs.</li><li>Assist classroom teacher in preparing work for students.</li><li>Assist with providing modifications and accommodations as appropriate.</li><li>Assist students with self-help skills.</li><li>Assist Students with mobility needs.</li><li>Physically assist with lifting and positioning of students with physical needs.</li><li>Maintain student confidentiality.</li><li>Work cooperatively as a member of the educational team.</li></ul>
