Combined with our unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction, and it’s a no-brainer why customers are making the switch to Heatable.Embracing and living by this commitment to one-of-a-kind customer service is a key aspect of the of the Delivery Driver role.  Key responsibilities include safely, efficiently, and courteously delivering heating oil to our AWESOME customers.   The responsibilities of this position will be carried out with particular attention to representing Heatable’s brand, maintaining customer property, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and exciting working environment.Essential Functions:<ol><li>Performs a safety check of the delivery vehicle on a daily basis reporting any items needing repair.</li><li>Safely and productively reviews daily manifest, loads truck, and makes deliveries according to federal and state regulations and company policy.</li><li>Follows all established delivery standards with emphasis on customer service, efficiency and productivity.</li><li>Attends and takes an active role in delivery driver meetings (huddles).</li><li>Effectively communicates with Delivery Center dispatchers and routing specialists. Proactively reports any customer concerns encountered or other problems encountered.</li><li>Maintains a neat personal appearance including a clean uniform.</li><li>Attains a thorough understanding and becomes a proficient user of the Raven handheld device.</li><li>Promotes good customer relations by professionally interacting with all customers and by respecting customer property.</li><li>In accordance with Heatable pledges and guarantees, maintains a clean and organized truck stocked with appropriate tools and safety equipment. Takes responsibility for adhering to truck safety standards.</li><li>Primes furnaces for customers who are out of oil or performs leak test and lights pilot for customers who are out of propane.</li><li>Embraces growth opportunities that involve cross-training or supporting other departments as needed.</li></ol>Customer Experience:Outside of safety, there is nothing more important to Heatable than wowing customers … Heatable's future depends on it, so we’re looking for employees to:<ul><li>Deliver a “wow” customer experience by doing their part to ensure speedy deliveries, being friendly and kind to customers, and maintaining a clean truck and uniform.</li><li>Proactively finding ways to go above and beyond and surprise our customers with Heatable's overall awesomeness so they recommend Heatable to friends and family and on social media.</li></ul>Education:A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Experience:Delivery drivers must be at least 21 years of age. Certification and Testing:<ul><li>Driver Trainees must successfully complete Driver training and obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous materials endorsement.</li><li>Apprentice oil burner license is required for oil delivery drivers who prime furnaces in the state of Maine</li><li>All delivery drivers must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical.</li><li>All delivery drivers are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.</li></ul>
