Training occurs through didactic (classroom) and clinical rotations covering the skills, job responsibilities, and procedures that certified medical assistants must perform, as well as the roles that certified medical assistants play in the healthcare setting. Train to perform basic patient care duties such as taking vital signs, weights, assisting patient with ambulation, dressing, and undressing for examination, as directed by the provider and clinical supervisor.
