This position requires the individual to have knowledge of relevant curriculum and the ability to teach in specific content areas as well as to modify instruction for deaf and hearing impaired students. This individual must have knowledge of ASL and English language development in deaf, and the ability to construct a meaningful communication system for students and to communicate with many individuals. The individual must possess knowledge of educational interpreting and the ability to guide and collaborate with educational interpreters.
