Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Demonstrated experience in a higher education environment, to include academic advising; Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Mac-based equivalents (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); basic web design and social media skills; Attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, particularly during periods of peak advising needs (e.g., orientations, registration cycles, etc.); and. Provides general and major/minor-specific academic advising; Maintains student advising records; Executes recruitment and retention campaigns in coordination with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Academic Advising; Effectively responds to students' emails regarding advising questions; Provides advising support for programs such as China 1-2-1, Mason Korea, and other international partnerships; and.
