The Adult Education Coordinator will be responsible to: Coordinate and conduct outreach and matriculation services to local adult schools and community agencies, including facilitating workshops, and other onboarding activities; Assist students in career exploration related to educational goals, developing student education plans (SEPs), and selection of courses; Collaborate with area adult schools, community partners, and the State Center Adult Education Consortium (SCAEC) to develop programs and services that increase student transfers from identified organizations; Collaborate with instructional and counseling faculty and staff from other departments and programs, including Financial Aid, Admissions and Records, EOPS/CARE, DSP&S, CalWORKs, Puente, IDILE, SYMBAA, USEAA, Veterans/International, TRiO Student Support Services, Athletics, and other special programs; Develop and facilitate individual and group workshops to area adult schools and community partners; Participate in the counseling, transfer and matriculation activities; Participate in the implementation of guided pathways, student success teams and student equity initiatives; Teach courses that focus on career, college success, and transferring while serving as Instructor of non-credit and/or other courses related to the adult learner; Serve as liaison by collaborating with on campus committees, community organizations, and regional consortiums to serve the adult student with transition, enrollment, and retention; Recruit and implement non-credit, EMLS (English for Multi-Lingual Speakers), and high school equivalency courses on and off campus: Coordinate a comprehensive dual enrollment program for adult school students transitioning to Clovis Community College; Identify student and community needs and interests related to adult education, resulting in implementation of services, courses, and other relevant programs; Facilitate department meetings and staff development opportunities; Collaborate with faculty to develop intervention strategies for the retention of disproportionately impacted student groups to reduce equity gaps including integration of campus initiatives such as Student Equity & Achievement, Core 9, and Guided Pathways; Foster collegiality between faculty and staff who serve adult students; Serve on and attending department, college, and district committees as needed; Create student and service-learning outcomes, regularly evaluating them, and keeping and reporting accurate records; Develop policies and procedures as a part of the department operations; Collect data from the college database, student sign-in sheets, and student satisfaction surveys to provide end-of-semester and annual reports; Participate in regular professional development; Participate in program review, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning; Teach assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, on-line or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed; Otherwise fulfill all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122; and. Experience and skill incorporating elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion into all areas of responsibility; Recent experience working with African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, Native American, and other racially minoritized students and an understanding of how historical patterns of exclusion of these groups in higher education shape patterns of participation and outcomes; Willingness to examine and remediate one's practices to more effectively engage and support racially minoritized students; Related work and professional experience; Experience working with students of various cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, including disabled students in a variety of settings; Demonstrated recent experience providing direct services to the adult learner including planning and coordinating a student services program; Demonstrated recent experience providing direct services to the adult learner; Experience in designing and preparing Student Education Plans (SEPs) for community college students; Experience teaching college success courses; Knowledge and utilization of instructional best practices for students in the classroom; Knowledge of current transfer policies and admission requirements of CSU's and UC's; Creative marketing skills to enhance student use of counseling services; Knowledge of California Community College's matriculation processes; Knowledge of transfer agreements between community colleges to meet transfer requirements; Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships in the community, such as those in adult schools, organizations, and regional consortiums; Knowledge of current trends and issues regarding legislation as it relates to adult education, An understanding of and commitment to the role of a comprehensive community college in an urban multi-cultural setting, with prior experience in working with non-traditional students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds; Teaching experience, including online teaching, preferably in a community college; Knowledge of culturally relevant pedagogy, assessment methods, instructional materials, and strategies that meet the needs of a diverse student population; Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Ellucian (or similar higher education platform), learning management systems such as Canvas or Blackboard, and databases such as SARS and Starfish; Knowledge of budget planning and monitoring; Demonstrated experience with data analysis and data dashboards, such as Tableau Data; Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff; and.
