Following training by, and under supervision of a credentialed school nurse, provides specialized physical health care procedures such as catheterization, blood glucose monitoring, tracheostomy, suctioning, gastrostomy tube feeding, breathing treatment via nebulizer, etc. to specific students. An example of duties are: -Providing necessary physical, academic and/or emotional support for students with special needs to facilitate success in the least restrictive environment - Paraeducator may be assigned to support more than one student, based on student and program needs.
