Cascade Disposal, a Waste Connections Company is looking to hire a Non-CDL Driver Trainee in Bend, OR. . Starting Pay : $27 -$29/ hr DOE. . Monday - Friday, 5:30am Start time until the route is complete. Generally 8-11hrs. Occasional Saturdays. . Candidate must hold either a Class B or Class A CDL Permit prior to hire in order to be considered. * . In this position, you will be responsible for collecting and loading waste, as well as transporting this waste by a side load truck to a landfill and /or transfer station. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure. + Ability to perform a physically demanding job,loading and unloading, at times with no helpers. + Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities. + Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. + Assist with CDL and Non-CDL routes as needed, including Container delivery and Portable Toilets. . WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. + Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times every day while on route + Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Noise level is usually moderate. .
