The essential duties require: the repetitive use of feet and hands to operate equipment and tools; the ability to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; frequent handling of dirt, debris, soil, and litter; verbal exchange of ideas and information; hearing in order to receive verbal information and instruction; seeing with a good field of vision sufficient to operate equipment safely; the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and walk; and, finger dexterity and hand strength to operate and grasp tools and equipment. Vision to read written materials and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio; Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; Follow safety guidelines and safe work practices; Candidates must be able and willing to use/wear Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] as instructed and required based on the assigned task; Must possess communication and interpersonal relationships skills to interact effectively with co-workers, supervisors and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction; and.
