Bay Pines is a teaching hospital and provides a full range of care and services for our Veterans, with state-of-the-art technology and clinical affiliations providing training and mentoring in medicine and surgical services, emergency services, anesthesia, psychiatry and other mental health professions, advanced practice and general nursing, physical medicine, long term care, oncology, neurology, dentistry, nutrition, and a host of others including primary care and specialty care service. The Department of Veterans Affairs performs pre-employment reference checks as an assessment method used in the hiring process to verify information provided by a candidate (e.g., on resume or during interview or hiring process); gain additional knowledge regarding a candidates abilities; and assist a hiring manager with making a final selection for a position.
