Your work will range from hands-on outpatient treatments and laboratory testing to surgical assistance and patient admission and discharge support.</div><div>You are compassionate, motivated, and thrive in a collaborative environment where high-quality medicine and teamwork come first.</div><hr/><h2>Role Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><div>Support veterinarians to ensure quality patient care, advocate for pets, and educate clients</div></li><li><div>Assist the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow</div></li><li><div>Assist with surgeries and monitor anesthesia in accordance with Washington State Veterinary Practice Act guidelines for credentialed technicians</div></li><li><div>Communicate with clients regarding individualized pet health concerns, medications, treatment plans, and Thrive Membership options</div></li><li><div>Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using hospital systems</div></li><li><div>Obtain and document relevant patient histories</div></li><li><div>Utilize safe restraint techniques and adhere to standard medical protocols</div></li><li><div>Maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratory spaces</div></li><li><div>Mentor and support fellow team members</div></li></ul><hr/><h2>Experience & Skills Requirements</h2><ul><li>Current Veterinary Technician license in Washington State</li><li><div>Strong work ethic and self-motivation</div></li><li><div>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment</div></li><li><div>Compassionate and patient-focused approach</div></li><li><div>Effective and respectful communication with clients and team members</div></li><li><div>Commitment to client education</div></li><li><div>Willingness to assist with reception duties when needed</div></li><li><div>Positive, solution-oriented mindset</div></li><li><div>Strong problem-solving skills (judgment, logic, creativity, and conflict resolution)</div></li><li><div>Flexible schedule</div></li></ul><hr/><h2>About Cascade West Veterinary Hospital</h2><div>Cascade West Veterinary Hospital is a full-service mixed animal veterinary clinic offering comprehensive medical and surgical care.
