Job ResponsibilitiesFrancis Marion University invites applications for a Student Services Counselor in the Financial Assistance Office whose duties include, but are not limited to the following:• Counsel students regarding Financial Assistance.
• Evaluates applications for student financial aid, processes documentation as it is received and performs manual analyses of need as necessary.
• Conducts high school workshops on financial assistance.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and institutional guidelines concerning financial assistance.
• Ensures accuracy of all student records.
• Awards federal, state, and private grants, loans, and work programs within specified guidelines, ensuring updates are made to reflect issuance of aid.
• Supports the daily operation of the Financial Assistance office.Minimum and Additional RequirementsState Requirement: A bachelors degree.
