The Surgical Technologist Residency Student is a student who has not yet completed an accredited Surgical Technology program (CAAHEP or ABHES) but is able to perform tasks in the surgical setting under the delegation of authority of a licensed health care practitioner and a staff Surgical Technologist preceptor. Our not-for-profit network also provides a full spectrum of care with leading-edge diagnostics and treatment, outpatient health centers, physician groups and clinics, numerous outreach programs, and hospice and home care.

DescriptionThe Surgical Technologist Residency Student is a student who has not yet completed an accredited Surgical Technology program (CAAHEP or ABHES) but is able to perform tasks in the surgical setting under the delegation of authority of a licensed health care practitioner and a staff Surgical Technologist preceptor. Surgical Technologist Resident Students will function as a clinical student during their program clinical experience. This experience will be educational, and the student will not function independently.
