Department Overview:

Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist. May also include some basic data entry and report generation.

Function/Duties of Position:
Admissions Support: <ul><li>Assist with data entry, managing application documents, and updating student records</li><li>Provide customer service via email, phone, and in-person, answering questions about admissions processes</li><li>Help coordinate campus tours and information sessions for prospective students</li><li>Assist in preparing admissions packets and materials</li><li>Help maintain and organize admissions files and databases</li><li>Support the Admissions team during recruitment events, such as open houses and orientations </li></ul> Social Media Management:<ul><li>Create and curate content for the school's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) including but not limited to:<ul><li>Assisting in drafting posts</li><li>Brainstorming content and strategies to increase engagement</li><li>Taking photos and videos to share with Admissions Communications Manager to post</li></ul></li><li>Meet regularly online with Admissions Communications Manager and other student workers to brainstorm ideas and plan content<ul><li>Work with Admissions Communications Manager to manage the content calendar and ensure regular posting</li></ul></li><li>Coordinate with other nursing students to represent the "student experience" on social channels</li><li>Represent campus at events/activities to gather photo and video content (may include occasional evenings and weekends)</li></ul>

Required Qualifications:
<ul><li>An OHSU Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)</li><li>Computer and software experience with includes MS Word, Excel, e-mail, web-site search tools and internet skills</li></ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul><li>Creativity and familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and basic content creation.</li><li>Have access to mobile device to take photos and videos and ability to upload materials to OneDrive for Admissions Communications Manager to access.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information and maintain privacy.</li><li>Organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Previous experience in admissions or social media is a plus, but not required.</li><li>General office experience. </li><li>High level of organization and prioritization skills, team oriented, strong public relations and customer service skills, ability to work cooperatively with academic, unclassified management and classified personnel, strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, experience creating web content.</li></ul>
