Position DetailsPosition InformationPosition Title Nurse Practitioner - Student Health Center Job DescriptionThis primary care provider works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the provision of quality health care services for students of Ashland University in accordance with standards of professional practice and ethical conduct. This team member provides clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for Ashland University students who are seen as patients in the Student Health Center. This is a 9-month position with full-time benefits.<ul><li>Assume ongoing responsibility for the primary care of Ashland University students' health needs.</li><li>Provide diagnosis, treatment and follow-up management of common acute illness and injuries and management of stable chronic conditions.</li><li>Promote health and wellness in areas of lifestyle and behavior that enhance physical, psychological, spiritual and social well-being.</li><li>Document appropriate, accurate and complete information in the student's medical record, in accordance with current Student Health Center policies and procedures.</li><li>Consult with his/her collaborating/supervising physician in an appropriate and timely manner when indicated or required by law.</li><li>Refer students to collaborating/supervising physician, other health care providers or relevant community agencies, when indicated.</li><li>Serve as preceptor for Athletic Training students.</li><li>Provide evaluation, treatment and/or referral of employee occupational injuries.</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality of clinical, social, financial or other student/staff data in compliance with university, state and federal guidelines.</li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, physicians and colleagues.</li><li>Seek opportunities to promote professional and personal growth through available continuing educational activities.</li><li>Review and maintain Standard Care Arrangement/Physician Supervisory Plan with collaborating/supervising physician on an annual basis (or as required by law).</li><li>Demonstrate behavior which reflects a positive image of the Student Health Center and the University.</li><li>Demonstrate team member behaviors.</li><li>Serve on division and institution-wide committees as assigned.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Master's degree required as per certification.</li><li>Three (3) to five (5) years primary care experience.</li><li>Licensed to practice and prescribe in the State of Ohio.</li><li>Certification in his/her specialty by a nationally recognized certification board.</li><li>Education and training as an Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant required.</li><li>Experience in providing telehealth services.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours.</li><li>Ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks.</li><li>Strong communication skills.</li><li>Excellent clinical skills.</li><li>Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Successfully complete Republic Services' CDL training program, which includes classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and resources (including the loan of a truck) necessary to take and pass the state CDL examination. POSITION SUMMARY: A Driver Trainee will be trained by Republic Services to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) to then assume the responsibility of a Driver with our Company. Driver Trainees will complete a comprehensive training program and be given the resources to take the CDL examination. Once the Driver Trainee completes the program and obtains a CDL, the incumbent will be moved into a Driver position in one of the Company's lines of business, including but not limited to, Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Roll-Off.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Successfully complete Republic Services' CDL training program, which includes classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and resources (including the loan of a truck) necessary to take and pass the state CDL examination.</li><li>Complete twelve (12) full months of employment with Republic Services after obtaining a CDL.</li><li>Learn to perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the assigned vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.</li><li>Learn to safely operate a heavy or commercial truck along a designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.</li><li>Learn to operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.</li><li>Learn to identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures.</li><li>Learn to continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.</li><li>Continuously monitor the condition of any assigned vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip.</li><li>Follow all required safety policies and procedures.</li><li>After obtaining a CDL, perform all responsibilities of a Driver in one of the Company's lines of business (i.e., Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Roll-Off).</li><li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers' license.</li></ul>Pay Range:The pay range for this position is $16.90 to $18.60* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions.
