We are looking for Senior Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite at Fairfield facility - CA. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will directly supporting production operations and overseeing a production area with multiple fabrication cells and processes. Relocation Assistance will be provided. What You Will Do NOTE: The role involves hands-on floor support, not purely design or validation. <ul><li>Develop, implement, validate and maintain manufacturing operations, standard work, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure compliant and efficient production.</li><li>Lead manufacturing plans, tooling strategies, and production methodologies, including fixture/tool design and tool life management.</li><li>Design, develop, test, and implement assembly fixtures, tooling, and production support equipment.</li><li>Conduct variation, capability, and manufacturability analyses to ensure processes meet performance and quality requirements.</li><li>Conduct process validation activities to confirm product quality and readiness for production.</li><li>Apply knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods-including ultrasonic, radiographic/X-ray, and N-ray inspections-to ensure products meet engineering specifications.</li><li>Drive producibility, process capability, and product/process improvements using lean manufacturing principles, smart factory initiatives, and advanced engineering techniques.</li><li>Investigate and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Interface and work with Production Operators, Design, Quality, and other Manufacturing Engineers to solve problems, improve manufacturability, and ensure products are manufactured in compliance with drawings and specifications.</li><li>Participate in Project Management Team (PMT) meetings and product reviews to align technical solutions across disciplines and ensure production readiness.</li><li>Partner with Production, Quality, Design Engineering, EH&S, and Value Streams to ensure safety, quality, compliance, improve performance, and meet program objectives.</li></ul> Qualifications You Must Have <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience</li><li>Minimum 3 years' experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.</li><li>Minimum 3 years' experience with SolidWorks (3D modeling software).</li><li>Experience in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).</li><li>Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.</li></ul> Qualifications We Prefer <ul><li>Experience in fast paced and/or highly regulated aerospace or space manufacturing environments.</li><li>Experience with aerospace quality systems and compliance environments (AS9100, AS9110, AS9120).</li><li>Experience supporting machine operations, including fixture/tool design, tool life management, routing/work instructions, and CNC programming familiarity.</li><li>Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (ultrasonic, radiographic/X-ray, N-ray) and interpretation of results.</li><li>Strong GD&T interpretation and tolerance analysis capability.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Effective technical communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.</li><li>Self-starter mindset with ability to work autonomously and lead complex manufacturing initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of PFMEA, process validation, SPC, RCCA, control plans, and configuration control practices.</li><li>Familiarity with structured continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., CORE operating system or Six Sigma).</li><li>Project management experience, including conceptualizing projects and automating processes; The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
