Prepares lessons, conducts assessments and may teach up to 18 weekly contact class hours in IEP • May assist with new student orientation and placement testing • Attends a minimum of two IEP staff meetings per session • Teaches assigned contact class hours in the IEP per scheduling guidelines, classes may be assigned at any level and skill, instruction includes all lesson preparation, assessment, and student interaction • May review and designs program curriculum and materials • May advises prospective students and assist with IEP enrollment • May advise IEP students for retention in the IEP and progression to KSU matriculation • Conducts end-of-session testing • Maintains adequate professional development and may lead occasional professional development workshops for other IEP instructors • May Participates in IEP cultural events and activities. Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, Google suite) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette.
