Job Title: Registered Nurse - MICU Profession: RN Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: 2+ years of adult ICU experience required, 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a MICU License: Active RN License required Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Must be able to read telemetry strips Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical Units Telemetry competency required Rotating shifts required, with day rotators alternating between shifts RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Med/Surg areas Description: This position requires working in a Level III Trauma Center Intensive Care Unit. Conditions treated include substance abuse, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock.
