Example projects may include: commissioning a new vacuum furnace, designing and testing a new polishing and etching recipe for novel materials, troubleshooting complex test equipment to enable renewed testing campaigns, creating and implementing methods to extract grain size or inclusion or other data from SEM or optical images, and working with FTIR. Interest or experience with materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, mechanical testing, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, nanoscience, microscopy, engineering lab work, or instrumentation.
